Like the prequel, it is set in Dr. Prescott’s underground laboratory, where a crazy scientist has discovered how to turn various objects into gold.
A rabbit is included, too, to make things more exciting in the lab.
As with most BetSoft games, the graphics are top-notch.
What’s more, the animations are great, and you will get a taste of what to expect from the opening video sequence.
The musical scores also align with the game’s theme.
It is more of a slightly deranged classical track that fades in and out with the reels’ action.
While the game is accessible on various devices, our testing showed significant UI and scaling issues on modern smartphones.

Review Methodology – How We Tested
On March 8, 2026, I used my MacBook (Chrome) and my iPhone 17 Pro Max (Safari) on 5G networks to test Madder Scientist.
I started at 3:32 PM EST with $2,328.97 and stopped at 3:40 PM EST with $2,322.75.
I bet $0.60 per spin and spun the reel around 100 times.
The minimum bet is $0.02, but at the casino I was playing at, it was $0.60.
I recorded my MacBook session, but the first part got lost due to an error.
Hardware & Performance Benchmarks
I tested out how long it took the game to load.
I found that on my MacBook it took 4 seconds, whereas on my iPhone it took 5.
Neither device got warm.
I looked at how much battery each device used when I was finished and found that it took less than 1%.

Mobile-First Experience
Playing the game on my iPhone wasn’t great either.
The game didn’t fill the screen when held vertically, unlike newer Betsoft titles.
The screen and buttons were very small.
I tried playing horizontally, and it was even worse.
The game didn’t fill the screen, and the buttons were so small it was hard to adjust your bet.
Test Results
The first 25 spins started out with steady, small wins and the chance to trigger the bonus feature.
On the 27th spin, I tried to hit the respin button, but the game showed an error, and so did my recording software.
I thought it may be an internet issue.
I started playing again, scoring small but frequent wins, but when I tried to use the respin feature, an error occurred.
This is where I stopped the recording.
The rest of the game was small, steady wins with few dry spells.
Comparisons & Friction Points
Despite the errors, I thought this game was a significant improvement over the original.
However, it did not even come close to Mad Scientist Breaking Breakers.
I do wish it had a buy feature like Fruit Bat Crazy.
I also wish there were a double-up feature like Kawaii Kitty.
I also didn’t like that it lacked Turbo Mode.
Given the two errors, I have to say this game was significantly worse than all other Betsoft games.
