Best For

Low-limit slot players and high rollers looking for an African Savannah theme 🎰.

Who This Is Not For

Players who prefer horizontal mobile play or high-quality cinematic graphics 📱.

There are so many beautiful things about Africa.

The continent has been scientifically confirmed as the original home of the human race, which is one of the reasons most of us are drawn to it.

Another wonderful thing about Africa is the richness of its wildlife.

The African Savannah is home to many beautiful animals, including large beasts.

You will be safer watching these animals from a distance, as the large ones can threaten to run you down when they are in a hurry.

You don’t have to go to Africa to witness what we have just described, especially if you are a slot player who loves BetSoft games.

Stampede from Betsoft is a Savannah-themed video slot with a lot to offer.

It is set in the African Savannah, which presents some interestingly beautiful landscapes.

As you would expect from the Savannah, there are so many animals to consider, and they make up a large part of the game’s symbols.

The graphics and animations were just average.

The sound effects suit the theme perfectly, too.

It plays smoothly across most computer systems, is compatible with most operating systems, and requires no download to play.

It isn’t the best for mobile phones, though it is technically compatible with iPhone and Android.

Brian J testing Stampede slot responsiveness on a MacBook Air during a live review session

Review Methodology – How We Tested

On March 18, 2026, I used my MacBook (Chrome) and my iPhone 17 Pro Max (Safari) on the 5G networks to review Stampede by Betsoft.

I started at 5:33 PM EST with $2,255.45 and stopped at 5:41 PM EST with $2,278.74.

I bet $0.40 per spin and spun the reel 100 times.

I won $23.29 and have it documented in the video I took of my MacBook session.

I tested how long it took to launch the game and found that on my MacBook it took 5 seconds, whereas on my iPhone it took 7 seconds.

Win Distribution and Mechanics

The game started off terribly; I scored wins on the 8th, 19th, 20th, and 27th spins.

However, on the 47th spin, I scored a mega win of $54.02.

After that, from spins 51-60, I won 4 times, and from spins 61-70, I won 3 times.

From spins 71-80, I won 3 times, and from spins 81-90, I won once.

However, I won 3 times in the last 10 spins.

I tested the spin, stop, and auto-play buttons, and everything worked fine.

Comparative Features and Performance

Feature Stampede Sin City Nights
Win Style Standard All-Ways Cascading Wins
Graphics Average High-Quality

Compared to Sin City Nights, it was worse; it lacked cascading wins and high-quality graphics.

However, it did have a double-up feature.

I wish it had a buy feature, as Greedy Goblins and Fruit Bat Crazy do.

My MacBook got warm after my session, but my iPhone stayed cool.

It looked like the session used about 2-3% of my MacBook’s battery and 1-2% of my iPhone’s battery.

Mobile Experience and Interface

I tested the game on my iPhone and found that it worked well when I held it vertically, but when I rotated it horizontally, it was terrible.

The game didn’t fill the screen, and you could still see the browser tabs I was viewing.

Additionally, the buttons were way too small in my opinion.

⚠️ Friction Points

  • 5:33 PM: Slow launch time on iPhone (7 seconds) ⏳.
  • 5:38 PM: Interface scaling failed in horizontal mode.
  • 5:41 PM: MacBook hardware noted as getting warm.

Gameplay

Stampede is an unconventional five-reel slot.

It uses an expanded 4×5 grid layout to increase the number of possible winning combinations.

It also features an all-ways format, which means every possible left-to-right combination can give you a win.

The goal remains the same as in other slot games, where you need to land matching symbols to win.

The game is ideal for both low-limit slot players and high rollers.

There are different coin denominations, and players can choose from five different bet levels.

Symbols

In Stampede, you will find a variety of symbols, including playing card symbols from 10 to A, which represent the lower-paying symbols.

The other symbols are theme-related and include gazelles, giraffes, zebras, and cheetahs.

Finding big elephants brings the biggest prizes in the game.

To make gameplay more interesting, these elephants can appear stacked and award huge wins.

Free Games and Bonus Features

Like most free casino slot games with bonus rounds, Stampede has some of the special symbols we like to see in slot games, including wilds and scatters.

The Wild symbol will substitute for other symbols to complete a winning combination.

To enjoy free games in Stampede, you have to watch out for the tree symbols, which serve as the scatters of the game.

When you land three or more anywhere on the reels, you can earn up to 20 free spins as well as instant scatter prizes.

The free games can also be retriggered.

The wild symbols can also award multipliers during the free games (2x and 3x bonuses).

The game also has a gamble feature that lets you double or lose 50% or 100% of your standard win.

Overall Rating 3.5/5

If you’re interested in the African Savannah, Stampede is an excellent game to try.

Even though the graphics were just average, the features are helpful and can get you huge rewards.
