Gopher Gold Slot Machine Review, RTP% & Bonuses By Microgaming

There are games that are just plain silly. Gopher Gold from Microgaming is one of such games. We don’t mean to suggest that the game is a terrible game, by any standard. We just feel it has a silly theme that will appeal to certain punters. While pun-cracking dads will find the theme-appropriate, some may find it a little uninspiring. Again, there are not so many surprises in the bonus department of this video slot game. It is just one of those games you have to play for a while before finding something special to love about it.

Introduction

As the name suggests, Gopher Gold is a gopher-themed video slot. As funny as it may sound, inspiration can be drawn from a gopher, and that is exactly what the theme behind this video slot did. The background of the game is not spectacular, but the reels are colorful and eye-catching. There is nothing exceptional about the graphics and animations as the images are rendered in 2D cartoon form. The sound effects are a little lively, however.

Features

Gopher Gold features 5-reels and 5 paylines. The paylines are fully adjustable, too, meaning you can choose to play with any number of payline you are comfortable with from 1 to 5. To get started, you have to set up your bet by choosing the number of active payline, the value of the coins to play with, as well as the number of coins to stake on each payline. You can use the command buttons below the reels to set these parameters up to suit your budget and playing style.

Overall, you can play with a minimum bet of 0.25 while the maximum possible bet is 25.00 credits per spin. When you are satisfied with the bet setting, hit the spin buttons to get the action started. You should also know that there are two modes available here. The regular mode is for casual spinners. You can choose the expert mode to unlock some features like Autoplay.

Symbols

The brilliant thing about Gopher Gold Slot is that it pays from left to right as well as from right to left. You just have to land the matching symbols on the active paylines to win. The symbols here include playing card symbols like 10, J, Q, K, and A. They are joined by theme-related symbols like lamplight, pickaxe, and the dynamite.

Lamplight, pickaxe, and the dynamite.

Gopher Gold does not offer any form of extravagant bonus features. The only sort of special symbol is the Gopher Gold logo. It is the jackpot symbol of the game and will offer players as much as 12,000x the value of the line bet. This can be massive when you are playing with the maximum bet.

Summary

There is something weird about Gopher Gold from Microgaming. It is a game that will appeal to a few punters. It is not the best in terms of aesthetics and doesn’t offer much in terms of bonus features. The only thing going for it is the big bonus that can come from the jackpot game logo. You just have to try it first to see if it is something you want to play again.
