Happy New Year Slot Machine Review, RTP% & Bonuses By Microgaming

New Year celebrations are among the most meaningful celebrations around the world. Think about it; surviving from the first day of the year to the very night of the last day is worth all the celebration. While the rest of the world celebrate on the first of January, the Chinese New Year comes up a little later – sometime in February.

This is one of the most colorful celebrations you will witness in the Far East. You don’t have to travel all the way to Gentleman Square in China to take part in the celebration. In fact, you can celebrate the Chinese New Year anytime, anywhere, thanks to Happy New Year from Microgaming. Without further ado, let us see what the video slot game is all about.

Introduction

As explained in the introductory part, Happy New Year is all about the Chinese New Year celebration. This is a very vibrant celebration that features exuberant fireworks that will brighten the sky in many colors. The colorful fireworks form the background of this game.

The reels float beautifully on top. The screen appears a little cluttered because of the buttons that partially cover the display. Overall, the game features high-quality graphics and animations. The sound effects are lively and will improve the gaming experience.

Features

From the way the screen appears, you will get the feeling that Happy New Year is a classic game. You will feel the same way about the reel setup. This is a simple 3-reels video slot with 5 paylines. You can adjust the bet setting to suit your style.

With the command buttons, you can adjust the number of active paylines, the value of the coins to wager, as well as the number of coins to place on the payline. If you are feeling lucky and ready to go all-in, you can use the Bet Max button to place the maximum wager on the entire 5 paylines. When you are satisfied with your setting, hit the spin button, and pray that matching symbols land on the active paylines.

Symbols

A quick look at the paytable and you will find the symbols and the values they command for matching combinations. On the lower side of the paytable, you will find yellow, red, and green fireworks. You will also find a paper lantern symbol, which is the most valuable of the basic symbols. It is nothing compared to the last symbol, which is the Happy New Year Slot Game Logo.

As you will find out quickly, the Happy New Year Slot Logo is a special symbol.

For a start, it is the wild of the mobile casino game. It can substitute for the other reel symbols to complete a winning combination.

In addition to being a substituting wild symbol, the game logo is, by far, the most valuable symbol of the game. Finding three on a payline can quickly turn things around for you. Depending on the payline they landed, you will be rewarded with anything from 1000x to 2400x your wager.

Summary

Happy New Year celebrates the Chinese New Year in a classic fashion. It is an exceptional retro game from Microgaming that can be lucrative when you play patiently.
