Thor Blimey Slot Machine seems like a promising video slot, but will it live up to expectations?

Introduction

Thor Blimey Slot Machine is obviously based on the classic Norse mythology. It is set in the mythical Valhalla, where those who believe in the myths regard as heaven. Our hero, Thor, is clearly having a good time in his kingdom, sitting with a young attractive blond maiden and drinking beer. The wide grin on his face will tell you that he is clearly having a good time.

Let’s hope his generosity will be this wide too. The game features high-quality graphics and awesome animations. The sound effects are nice and befitting of the theme.

Features

You will notice that Thor Blimey is a classic slot when you check the matrix.

It features just three spinning reels with as many symbol positions on each. It also features a total of 5 paylines. If you are playing for free, you may not bother about the default setting.

If, on the other hand, you are playing for real money, use the command buttons at the bottom side of the screen to make necessary adjustments. You should know that the higher you stake, the higher the possible wins you can get from each winning combination. You shouldn’t go beyond your budget, however.

Symbols

You will find an assortment of reels symbols on the reels of Thor Blimey that represent the classic nature of the game and the Norse theme.

The most common ones are classic symbols like cherries, lemons, orange, and red 7s. With the pint of beers, these symbols offer modest payouts. On the higher side of the paytable, you will find most of the thematic symbols, including hammer, lightning, ship, the beautiful maiden, and Thor himself.

Finding three Thor symbols on an active payline will trigger the jackpot prize that is 2000x your wager.

Just like most classic slots, Thor Blimey doesn’t have all the regular special symbols and bonus features that cause lots of distractions in modern slots. This doesn’t mean it will leave you empty-handed in this regard—the game feature nudges and holds, which you can use to improve your winning chances significantly. You just need to know when and how to use them.

Gamble Feature

Thor Blimey also offers you a gamble feature. It is an optional mini-game where you can double your reward if you win. When you lose, the feature doesn’t just take your prize. Rather, it takes you to a bonus grid where you can win cash prizes, nudges, or extra mini-games.

Summary

Thor Blimey is an interesting classic slot from Microgaming. It explores one of the most loved mythologies in a friendly manner.
